My New Favorite Face Mask
As I mentioned last week, this past weekend was my ten year college reunion! And, if you saw me in the last few weeks you heard me talk about the fact that I was attending because I will admit that I totally succumbed to the stereotypical prep of attempting to lose a few lbs beforehand and also prepping from a beauty standpoint- ha!
On that beautify list? Masking! I’ve been a huge fan of face masks for as long as I can remember. I started doing them back in high school! I would buy $7 masks at Walgreens and attempt to my fight my hormonal acne. Nowadays I do a mask at least once a week and look for those that will help fight signs of aging, give a good glow, work to fight dead skin or provide extra hydration.
My new favorite mask – dr. brandt skincare’s Magnetight mask – checks so many of these boxes! Even better? It is SO fun to use. By leveraging the power of magnets, this mask rejuvenates the skin by drawing out toxins and everyday dirt + oil so your skin is left super smooth and radiant.
As you can see you actually remove this mask by wrapping the included little magnet in a tissue and then drawing it over your skin. The formula lifts right up onto the magnet! It’s practically addictive as you work around your face removing. How does it work you may wonder?
The special ingredient within is tourmaline which boasts energizing minerals. Working with magnetic energy, your skin is detoxed from everyday impurities so it’s left looking so bright + healthy. The mask also has a firming peptide that is the secret to the firming effects (which can also aid in smoothing any fine lines and wrinkles – woot!)
A favorite pastime of mine is to mask on Sundays – a little self care to round out the weekend before a new week. As I’ve incorporated the Magnetight mask into my routine I’ve loved how my skin looks on Monday mornings. The above photo is immediately after removing the mask with no retouching and no face makeup – pretty good, right?!
Have you ever tried a magnetic mask!? Or have a favorite mask to share? Do tell!
