Davines Haircare: Trying Something New
"By creating beauty sustainably, we encourage people to take care of themselves, of the environment in which they live and work, of the things that they love." ~davines.com
Davines makes high end hair care products. They began in the 80's as a research lab in Parma, Italy working with several renowned cosmetic companies on a global scale and still pride themselves on having optimally engineered and scientifically crafted products that are sustainable not only to our health and beauty needs, but to the environment.
I have tried MANY hair products and hair care lines, and I've dyed my hair every color in the rainbow, so when I say I love these products, I truly believe in them. I have course, thick hair that is usually medium to long length and A. LOT. OF. IT. I usually do only two times around for my ponytail holders and every stylist I've ever worked with, except the ones who were Asian themselves, have told me I have an enormous amount of hair.
I typically use the Oi line from Davines, but I thought I'd give the Essential line (specifically the NouNou products) line a try since I'm planning to go blonder in a few weeks and my hair is pretty damaged as it is already.
The Oi line is a great, well-rounded product that has made my hair softer, cleaner and more well-behaved than it's ever been before. The part I like most about it is that it is so lightweight. Most conditioners for damaged hair tend to weigh hair down, and mine is already so heavy and thick that i consider that a deal breaker. While I love this collection, I wanted to try something new that would do more for the damaging lightening that I have done. We'll see how this goes.
