Cool Beach Outfit for a Baby-Clad Mama
There are many things to consider when dressing yourself for the beach after having a baby, and unless you're related to Krissy Teigan, the area that comes to mind first is the tummy. While we all aren't blessed to have magical genes, fancy personal trainers or enough positive self-assurance to flaunt our zebra stripes, there are things we can do to help keep our confidence up without sacrificing style.
Here's a beautifully classy outfit that combines a variety of textures with a functional outfit that any woman could easily wrangle a child in. The chew beads are as pretty as they are functional and add a pop of color to the outfit. Toss some beach waves spray in your vintage Madewell tote and you're ready to hit the beach. The square scarf could range from an impromptu swaddle to a headscarf should your beach waves go flat or frizzy. This tropical print on the one-piece draws attention away from the waist and if you still want to cover up a bit, grab a super soft and snuggly kimono to cuddle up with and watch the sunset with your little one. The one piece has enough security to attach breast pads to if you're still nursing or worried about leaking. Aviators and a classic thong sandal round out this look as two no-fail pieces for summertime.
Pair this outfit with a sheer, peachy nude lip and full, natural brows. A subtle blush like NARS blush in orgasm would add just enough flush. Dab a natural looking highlighter on the tops of cheekbones and corners of eyes and sweep a light copper or gold shadow over lids to make eyes pop.
