Fashion Week Fall/Winter 16: New York Part 1
Fall/Winter fashion week is my favorite. I love coats, boots and the edginess that comes with the season's trends. In case you don't have the time to watch all the shows and/or you just want a sort-of highlights reel, here you go. For ways to watch FW16 Fashion Week online, check out my last post: How to Watch Fashion Week 2016 From Your Couch. This isn't all of them, just my favorites from days 1-3 in New York.

What an interesting show. The fabric choices were so fun! There was a lot of plum, cornflower, periwinkle, cream and a ton of berry shades. The show featured plastics along with wintery prints.

long flowy dresses, cutouts, really really grungy dirty makeup, wet looking hair. I liked the 2nd half of show way more - can buy online already.
CUSHNIE ET OCHS
keeping the pajama trend going, edgy dresses that are a bit formal, black, red, cream and plum shades, slip dresses
plenty of black, fluttery silhouettes, long, sleek ponytails, sheer fabrics and elegant prints
There was fun music with a sort of aggressive feeling. The show featured long, flowing pants, her normal, but great usage of prints. There were feminine and sporty silhouettes mixed with very edgy accessories.
tons of wool and felt, heavy amounts of layering, very very loose silhouettes, everything looks SO COMFORTABLE, all gray and neutral colors with some blacks and plum shades, practical shoes. I LOVE the coats. Several vests and sweater dusters, all very long and textural. even featured a muff. As usual, some looks are very korean-inspired. LOVED EVERYTHING.

suits suits suits, black/gray/red/blue - all dark, wide belts, texture everywhere, very masculine collection
white, natural and lavender. Lace up pieces in modern fabrics were a recurring theme throughout the show. Many pieces would be work appropriate, but there some very interesting evening pieces.
lots of black, gold and cream, sexy VERY edgy looks mixed with some elegant winter wear pieces. I LOVED the gold dress at the end and the layered, all black looks with different textures.
beautiful use of textural prints and metallic fabrics - EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL. There was SUCH a variety of looks, the show was very exciting. I loved everything and seriously had to narrow it down to get my favorite looks bc there were SO MANY good ones. i want to buy all of this right now.
